La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries has partnered with Water Watchers at Phoenix Children's Hospital and the Phoenix Fire Department to sponsor the Tubby Tag program, which is aimed at preventing child drownings at home in the bathtub. The program was founded in 2007, and includes the distribution of special tags reminding parents of the need for in-home supervision at bath time. The tags are placed in "Tubby Tag" folders, filled with safety information for parents. Since the program began, more than 2,500 folders and tags were distributed to the community per year. Every La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery in Arizona participates by distributing the Tubby Tag folders at their location.
